Article 1
Applicants admitted through the entrance examination for the Master’s Program for Working Professionals of this University shall be eligible for enrollment in this Program. Admission examination regulations shall be prescribed separately.
Article 2
After enrollment and prior to thesis writing, graduate students shall confirm a thesis advisor and submit a thesis supervision consent form no later than Week 18 of the third semester.
Article 3
Courses in this Program shall be classified into three categories:
1. Core required courses
2. Specialized required courses
3. Elective courses
Article 4
During the first academic year, course selection and related matters are supervised by the program advisor. From the third semester onward, supervision shall be undertaken by the thesis advisor.
Article 5
The duration of study for this Program is between two and five years.
Article 6
Graduate students shall complete a minimum of 27 credits. Thesis credits (6 credits) shall be counted separately.
Article 7
Upon admission, students may apply for credit exemption or transfer of credits. The maximum number of credits exempted or transferred shall not exceed 3 credits in total.
Article 8
The maximum course load per semester shall be 9 credits, and the minimum shall be 3 credits.
From the second semester of the second academic year onward, the minimum credit requirement shall not apply.
Article 9
The passing grade for all courses shall be 70 out of 100.
Failed required courses shall be retaken.
Article 10
Master’s degree examinations shall, in principle, be conducted orally and shall be applied for in accordance with University regulations.
Prior to the oral examination and completion of graduation procedures, students shall submit a final thesis originality report generated by an approved plagiarism detection system. Excluding quotations, references, table of contents, and appendices, the similarity index shall not exceed 20%. The thesis shall be reviewed and confirmed by the thesis advisor with respect to its originality. Where the similarity index exceeds the prescribed threshold, a written explanation shall be provided and approved by the advisor.
Detailed procedures for the Master’s degree examination shall be prescribed separately.
Article 11
Graduate students shall be subject to dismissal from the Program under any of the following circumstances:
1. Failure to complete required courses and credits within five academic years.
2. Failure in the Master’s degree examination without eligibility for retake, or failure upon retaking the examination.
Article 12
Graduates of this Program may, for the purpose of lifelong learning, apply prior to each semester’s add/drop period to audit courses offered in this Program. Approval of such applications shall be subject to the discretion of the course instructor, who shall also determine the number of auditors permitted.
Article 13
Approved auditors shall make reasonable efforts to participate fully in the course and complete assigned readings and materials. Course instructors reserve the right to terminate auditing privileges at any time.
Article 14
Matters not specified in these regulations shall be governed by relevant university laws and regulations.
Article 15
These regulations shall take effect upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. The same procedure shall apply to any amendments.
