Article 1

　　Matters concerning the transfer of undergraduate students into or out of the Department shall be handled by the Department Chair in accordance with these Regulations, unless otherwise specified by the University’s Academic Regulations.

Article 2

　　Students from other departments applying for transfer into this Department shall undergo a preliminary review. Where the number of applicants who pass the preliminary review exceeds the prescribed quota, the Department admit applicants on a merit basis.

Article 3

　　In conducting the preliminary review process, the Department may, on a case-by-case basis, require applicants to attend an oral interview, which will be as basis for determining the final list of admitted transfer students.

Article 4

　　Students of this Department applying to transfer out must have completed all required courses for their current year level and shall not have withdrawn from any required courses (including those in the semester of application) in order to be eligible for transfer.

Article 5

　　These Regulations shall take effect upon approval by the Departmental Affairs Meeting. The same procedure shall apply to any amendments hereto.
