犯罪學研究所為讓學生瞭解政治暴力的因應策略，於5月24日（星期六）上午9時30分至12時，假臺北校區惠蓀南樓2樓 622教室，邀請Dr. Mark Finnane 澳洲Griffith 大學歷史學教授、澳洲研究委員會警政與安全研究中心專題演講：『警政與安全：澳洲在變遷世界中對政治暴力的因應策略』（Policing and security - Australian responses to political violence in a changing world），由犯罪學研究所所長許春金教授主持。 此次演講主要討論澳洲歷史上警政與其他機構面對本國安全遭受威脅時的應變措施。演講中也會回顧過去至二十一世紀以來，澳洲警政政策形式、功能、績效、影響因素的變遷與發展。 『Abstract: In this seminar Mark Finnane will discuss the historical development of policing and other responses to historical threats to domestic safety and security.
