  • [摘要]

    本論文是描述以祭祀圈為範圍的社區如何在社區營造的過程當中,以社區的宗教性為出發

    點,重新建構社區的集體認同。本文採用質化訪談的方式,以社會運動各理論為分析脈絡

    ,嘗試了解社區建構集體認同的過程所發生的各種可能的創造性和侷限。台灣的社會自從

    一九八0年代經歷重大的政治社會轉變之後,一股過去被壓制在底層的社會力量正在逐漸

    覺醒,並開始要求以自己的力量走出新的方向,這種社會力強烈的表現在社區建構認同感

    的過程當中,因此本研究以二結社區為研究案例,探討在這樣的過程當中社區體現的是什

    麼樣的集體認同,以及可能面對到的問題。

    二結是一個傳統的農業聚落,大約以王公廟的祭祀圈作為社區的概括範圍,王公廟可以說

    是整個社區的宗教和生活中心,然而並不是所有社區居民都是王公廟的信徒,因此當王公

    廟的改建計畫被提出來之後,為了納入非信徒的參與,而將整個改建計畫擴大到社區的整

    體營造計畫。在這樣的過程當中,二結社區採取的策略是從組織著手,先成立夠具代表性

    的社區組織,力邀社區耆老和地方頭人投入參與,並以王公廟各項慶典的宗教意像轉化成

    社區的發展特色,將二結社區獨特的文化傳統突顯出來,加強社區凝聚的共識和集體認同

    ,達到社區意識再建構的目標。此也正好呼應了社會運動理論中的新社會運動、資源動員

    論和都市社會運動,強調以認同作為動員的策略,且由下而上逐步改變生活方式和改善週

    遭的環境。然而也正因為如此,二結社區認同建構的過程也面臨些許問題,不管是在組織

    內部或是動員策略上,都有迫切需要解決的問題,並和台灣社區可能面臨的侷限,做為相

    互對照,並提出可能改善的方式。

    本論文期待與運動理論對話當中,找出台灣社區發展在困境之中可能的解決辦法,做為發

    展中社區的參考。

    Abstract

    This essay describes in the process of community construction, how a community

    within religious sphere takes its own religion as a start point to reconstruct

    its collective identification. In qualitative manner, this article uses

    various social movement theories as its context trying to comprehend every

    possibility and limitation that may happen in the process of constructing the

    collective identification in a community. Since 1980, Taiwan society underwent

    great political and social transformations; a suppressed social force is

    gradually awakening, and starts to demand a new progression by its own force.

    And in the process of constructing community identification, we can see very

    obviously the existence of this kind of social force. Therefore, in this

    research, we take Er-chieh community as a case to study what collective

    identification the community reflects in this process, and the possible

    problems it may encounter.

    Er-chieh is a traditional rural village, the community’s range is around the

    religious sphere of Wan Kung temple. Wang Kung temple is the religious and

    living center of the whole community. As not every resident is the disciple of

    Wang Kung temple, when the rebuilding plan of Wang Kung temple was addressed,

    the rebuilding plan has expanded to entire community reconstructing plan to

    bring the participation of those who are not disciples. In this process, Er-

    chieh community first began from organization as its strategy. The community

    founded a committee which is authoritative enough to represent the whole

    community, and invited respected senior citizens and significant local people

    for participation. And various kind of religious ceremonies of Wang Kung

    temple transformed the community’s developing characteristic. To show Er-

    chieh community’s unique cultural traditions, community’s common consensus

    and collective identification, the community is willing to achieve the goal of

    reconstructing community consciousness. This process of community

    reconstruction also responds to the social movement theories of new social

    movement theories, resource mobilization theory and city social movement, as

    they emphasize the identification as the mobilizing strategy, and a bottom top

    way to gradually alter the living style and surrounding environment. And

    because of this, in the process of constructing Er-chieh community’s

    identification, we faced many problems. Not only within the organization but

    also in the mobilization strategy, we had urgent problems needed to resolve.

    We took it as the comparison with the limitations that Taiwan community may

    encounter, and offer the possible improving ways.
