族群認同、社會資本、學業成就:以新北市某國中為例

  • 近本研究目的在探討新移民學生與本國籍學生在族群認同及及家庭社會資本的差異情形,進而研究不同狀況是否會影響學生的學業成績。研究資料採用自製問卷,以新北市某公立國中全校學生為對象,共取得有效樣本380份。將問卷結果以描述性統計、單因子多變量變異數分析、相關分析及多元迴歸分析等方法進行統計處理。

本研究結果如下:
一、在家庭背景因素方面可看出母親教育程度及家庭平均收入對子女學業成績有影響。
二、本國籍子女的父母社會資本優於新移民子女。
三、在社會資本與學業成績方面,只有父母參與學校活動這變項對學業成績有正向影響。
四、本國籍子女及新移民子女在族群認同方面無顯著差異。
五、在族群認同方面,只有族群身分自我認定對學業成績有正向影響。
最後,依據研究結果提出建議,以供未來欲做相關研究之參考。

  • The goal of this study is to investigate the condition and deviations on the ethnic identities and social capital of children of female immigrants and local Taiwanese children. We furthermore research whether the deviations will influence children’s academic achievement. Adapted self- made questionnaire and collected data from a junior high school in New Taipei City, 380 effective samples were used in this study. The data are then processed by descriptive analysis, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson’s product- moment correlation, and multiple regression.

The results of the study are as follows:
1.Mother’s education level and family income will have positive influence in children’s academic achievement.
2.The family social capital of local Taiwanese children is superior to that of the children of female immigrants.
3.The more the parents attend school activities, the better the children’s academic achievement.
4.There is no obvious difference in ethnic identities between the children of female immigrants and local Taiwanese children.
5.Among the ethnic identities, only ethnic self- identification has positive influence in children’s academic achievement.
Finally, suggestions are submitted according to the research results as references to future researchers.
