A片是傳播媒體的一種，我們每一個人在不同的成長階段多少都會接觸到或者是長期都在觀看，那麼除了觀看後的嬉笑與窺淫的這股男性默契外，身為男性的我們是否其實被禁錮在A片所建構中的色情迷幻文化中。在解除了生理性衝動的滿足外，我們是否彼此傷害了彼此（男/女）而不自知，然後將此遺毒傳播出去並永存於心，影響他們對性別角色、身體形象方面的認同，值得我們去深入研究與討論。
本研究擬以從不同的學習成長階段（國中、高中職、大學、成人）的男性為研究對象，進行質性訪談。融合Mackinnon的色情批判理論與Connell的男子氣概理論等觀點進行探究與解釋。藉由再現觀點與意識形態分析，分別從A片的訊息傳播管道、A片扮演的功能中，深入了解不同階段的男性從觀看A片中建構出所謂的「男子氣概」以及對女性宰制的父權社會文化體現。
研究發現對於A片的傳播，男孩身旁較年長的男性，例如：哥哥/表哥、鄰居高中生、同儕等皆扮演著相當重要的角色，真實的傳遞著一個屬於A片的「男性中心」。背後隱藏的卻是一種性別內化的壓力，壓迫著不喜歡觀看A片的男人，導致的是一種團體且自我歸化的男性A片文化動力。
A片本身其實是一種非正式、非正規的反教育。但是男性皆認同A片是性教育的一環，惡化了男性對女性身體的掌握與欺壓，錯誤的教育卻得到多數的認同，實乃性別歧視與不平等的遺毒。從國中時期聚焦於女性炯體的幻想洩慾、高中職時期的性渴望、大學時期第一次的性愛行為與成年期另一半的弭補，多數男性從A片中探索自我，並建構出完美的女人模樣與高潮的性愛過程，冀望在女人身上找到屬於男子氣概文化，貶低或剝奪女性眾多的權利。男性看A片其實就是一種性別歧視的實踐，如此可怕的男性霸權與歧視觀念，永續循環於日後生活中。
隨著A片的易取與流通便利性，觀看A片除了可能滿足不同階段男性的生理需求與窺視的慾望外，研究者希望在未來的教學生涯中，除了告知學生A片可能導致其身心健康等不良影響外，針對A片中的男女互動情形與不同的類型，引導學生有不一樣的多元思考與判斷，在跳脫情色的觀看下，尊重不同的性別自主權與情慾發展，並進而建立正確的媒體識讀的能力，提升性別平權的教育概念，健康成長。
