本研究的主要目的在探討影響公私部門裡的正式員工與臨時人員工作滿意度的因素。本文以個人背景(性別、年齡、教育年數、工作年資、工作收入)、個人層面(提升工作技巧、工作輪調)、團體層面(隸屬關係、同儕關係)及組織關係(升遷機會)去分析這些因素是否對於工作滿意度有顯著影響。
本研究採用2005年臺灣社會變遷基本調查問卷作為資料來源,而以描述統計、相關分析、迴歸分析及路徑分析為其計量方法。
研究結果顯示,不論公、私部門的正式職員或是臨時人員的個人背景為何,均不影響其工作滿意度。然而,公部門的正式公務人員面對有升遷機會時,是會影響其工作滿意度,而公部門之臨時人員則無任何顯著影響;就私部門而言,正式人員希望能提升自己的工作技能及知能,並著重與上司間的關係良善;而私部門臨時人員則是重視與上司的互動關係。

Abstract
The main purpose of this paper tries to explore factors that affect job satisfaction between formal and temporary employees of public and private sectors. Personal background variables (gender, age, years of education, work experience, income from work), individual level variables (enhancing job skills, job rotation), group level variables (subordinate, peer relationships) and organizational level variables (promotion opportunities) are used in the research to analyze whether or not these variables will have significant impacts on job satisfaction.
The data for the study were collected by the research project “Taiwan Social Change Survey 2005”. The quantitative methods with descriptive statistics, correlation coefficients, regression and path analysis are used in the paper.
The results show that personal backgrounds of formal and temporary employees of public and private sectors will not affect their job satisfaction. However, job satisfaction of formal employees in the formal public sector will be affected when they face promote opportunities. But, for temporary employees of public sector, their job satisfaction will not affect. For private sector, the formal employees need to improve and increase their work skills and maintain a good relationship with their bosses. In addition, temporary employees of private sector need to emphasize their interaction with their bosses.
