In their identity practices, Breakaway-Red Feminists actively advocate against sexual violence as a commitment to feminist identity and, through geographic “Run” (leaving China), resist state “De-Marking” while sustaining feminist visibility and memory politics. By contrast, De-Pinked Feminists emphasize personal safety and survival, and through digital “Run,” maintain cautious participation in feminist &LGBTQ+ communities. Theoretically, this study extends Brekhus’s Marked/Unmarked theory by introducing “De-Marking” and “Anti-Markedness” to explain the dynamics of‘marked—de-marking—anti-markedness ’ under patriarchal–authoritarian regimes. This study shows that Chinese feminist (LGBTQ+) transnational migration is driven by urgent sex-and gender-based identities, reshaping national belonging and expanding perspectives in transnational feminism and identity studies.
