  • Abstract

Past research on the leadership of the online game mostly adopted participatory and qualitative methods. This research, taking from a different point of view, employs a quantitative analysis. By using Taiwan 's senior and vocational high school/junior college students as a research sample, the research explores “background”, “online game experience” , “school experience" , and "family discipline" on effects of leadership’s online labs of students. In other words , the purpose of this study attempts to test the determinants of the leadership of senior and vocational high school/junior college students’ online games.

A variety of statistical methods are employed and, more importantly, regression analysis are used to test the determinants of senior and vocational high school/junior college students’ leadership online games in the research. The results show that leadership of rural students is poorer than that of urban ones. However, there is no difference between urban and rural students on leadership’s online labs after adding school experience. The better the students’ family economic status is, the better the students’ leadership is. The longer the students take online game experience, the worse the students’ leadership is. Students with school experience such as participating in school clubs, inter-class competitions, or learning organizational planning capacity have better leadership than those who do not have such experiences. Students’ good academic achievement has positive effects on their leadership. Finally, however, family discipline has no impact on students’ leadership online labs .
